Outer Banks Adirondack Chairs at The Pittsburgh Zoo's Islands Exhibit

In June of 2015, the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium opened a new 22,000 square foot exhibit they named The Islands. This exhibit caters to the sights and sounds of island life with some of the world’s most endangered species, waterfalls, and ponds surrounded by rich tropical flora. Upon entrance, a beach scene welcomes you with sporadic pairs of colorful Adirondack chairs partnered with an umbrella on the large bed of sand. There’s even an oversize Adirondack chair that offers a great place for a photo op to showcase your zoo trip. Excluding this enormous picture taking seat, the Adirondack chairs in this new exhibit are from our company!

Made of eco-friendly poly lumber, our Outer Banks Adirondack Chairs offer a comfortable place to relax without the worry of regular maintenance. Poly lumber is a product that needs only mild soap and water to clean and it doesn’t require any painting, staining, or water proofing. It will not splinter, crack, peel, or rot and it is resistant to insects, fungi, and salt spray. In addition, our Outer Banks Collection of Adirondack Chairs comes in many vibrant colors to blend perfectly into the design of any outdoor area. Heck, they even look great at the zoo!

We’d like to thank the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for their purchase of our most popular Adirondack Chairs to add to their newest exhibit. If you live in or visit the Pittsburgh area, make sure to visit this amazing showcase of exhibits and animals in the heart of steel city. Just make sure you take a seat in one of our chairs and enjoy The Island experience.
